The Story Behind Caveman Blades
Caveman Blades started long before there was a website, a live show, or a storefront. It started with family, a respect for tools, and a love for knives that goes all the way back to childhood.
What began as a lifelong passion slowly grew into a business built on fair deals, fast shipping, live shows, loyal customers, and knives worth owning.
Built From Family, Grit, and a Love for Knives
For me, knives go all the way back to being a kid. My dad, Billy Davidson, known by many around here as Kiser Davidson, taught me how to use knives, respect tools, and understand the value of a good blade.
Dad was a super talented man. He could build, fix, make, play, and figure out just about anything. He was also a musician, well known locally and beyond, and he had a way of connecting with people that left a mark.
More than anything, he loved his family, his friends, his wife — my mom, Sandy Davidson — and his two boys, me and Eric.
Over the years, that passion for knives kept growing. I bought, sold, collected, studied, tested, and learned. Eventually Caveman Blades became the place where all of that came together: the childhood lessons, the love for a good blade, the drive to build something, and the desire to serve customers the right way.
Today, Caveman Blades is a Virginia-based knife and outdoor gear business serving customers online, through live selling shows, and from our brick-and-mortar storefront in Saltville, Virginia.

Caveman Blades has grown slowly and honestly — one show, one order, one customer, and one knife at a time. We sell traditional pocket knives, modern EDC knives, fixed blades, collectibles, cutlery, and outdoor gear with the goal of giving customers strong value and a buying experience that feels personal.
